Michael Myles

Managing Director / Founder

Michael Myles is the Managing Director of Inspire Cayman Training, where he leads innovative programs designed to empower individuals through vocational training and employability skill development. With over 35 years of experience in social development, education, and public management, Michael is renowned for his ability to create opportunities for underserved populations and drive meaningful change in the Cayman Islands.

Michael’s achievements include founding Inspire Cayman Training in 2019, touching the lives of hundreds of participants with professional development and mentorship, earning a bachelor’s degree in Human Services and becoming a Certified Human Resources Professional and accredited Personal Financial Coach. Throughout his career, he has held pivotal roles, such as Dean of Students at Hope Academy, Manager at Bonaventure Home, and At-Risk Youth Liaison Officer for the Ministry of Education. He is also a sought-after instructor, teaching programs like "Tools for Success" and "Financial Peace University." Michael has spearheaded numerous large-scale initiatives, including partnerships with the Cayman Islands Government, transforming educational and employment outcomes for at-risk youth. His work has left an indelible mark on the community, inspiring systemic change and fostering economic empowerment.

Outside of work, Michael is a devoted advocate for at-risk youth and families in his community. He enjoys mentoring young leaders, spending time with his family, and exploring outdoor activities such as fishing and boating. His unwavering commitment to professional and personal growth continues to inspire everyone he works with. 

Sean Glidden

Chief Operating Officer

Sean Glidden is the Chief Operating Officer at Inspire Cayman Training, where he oversees daily operations and leads the Heavy Equipment Simulator Training Program. With more than 30 years of experience in senior management, accounting, and operational leadership, Sean ensures the success of Inspire Cayman’s initiatives by fostering innovation and mentorship within the organization.

Sean’s achievements include earning degrees in Accounting and Business Administration, obtaining a plumbing license, and owning a successful plumbing company in the United States. His expertise spans technical trades, business management, and operational oversight, making him an invaluable asset to Inspire Cayman Training. Sean has also developed and implemented cutting-edge training methodologies, enhancing the effectiveness of the Heavy Equipment Simulator Program. His ability to integrate diverse skills and drive results has established him as a trusted leader in technical and vocational training.

Outside of work, Sean enjoys exploring his passions for craftsmanship, mentoring, and personal growth. He is an avid surfer and pickleball fan who also dedicates his time to advancing his skills and giving back to the community, embodying his commitment to making a lasting impact in the Cayman Islands. 

Kat Hampson

Careers & Employment Development Instructor

Kat Hampson is the lead instructor for the Ready2Work program at Inspire Cayman Training, where she helps individuals overcome long-term unemployment and underemployment. With a BA (Hons) in Criminology and Social Policy and over 15 years of experience, Kat is dedicated to fostering confidence and independence in her students. Her compassionate yet disciplined approach ensures participants exceed their own expectations and achieve sustainable career success.

Kat’s achievements include transforming the lives of at-risk youth through her work with helping hundreds of students gain essential qualifications and life skills, both in Cayman and the United Kingdom. Kat has played a pivotal role in enhancing the Ready2Work curriculum, introducing innovative teaching methods that ensure measurable success for her students. Her ability to break down barriers and inspire meaningful change has solidified her reputation as a leader in vocational education. 

When she’s not in the classroom, Kat enjoys embracing the beauty of the Caribbean lifestyle. A certified swim instructor, she often spends her free time floating in the pristine waters of Grand Cayman or enjoying quality time with family and friends. Her passion for community and personal development shines in all she does. 

Allison Hidalgo

Talent Development & Recruitment Manager

Allison is the Talent Development and Recruitment Manager at Inspire Cayman Training, where she helps guide trainees through the various stages of their career journeys. Allison oversees the recruitment efforts and has spearheaded the “Inspired to Hired” employment initiative where she identifies candidates for recruitment and builds strong relationships with employers we partner with.  Having pivoted from a career in tourism to human resources during the COVID-19 pandemic, Allison draws on her personal experiences to inspire and empower others. Her empathetic and proactive approach has made her an invaluable resource for trainees navigating their own professional growth and re-branding.

Allison’s achievements include completing Inspire Cayman’s Tools for Success program and earning a CISHRP certification. Her remarkable career transition led her to work with a leading recruitment agency before joining Inspire Cayman Training in 2024. She has built a strong professional network on the island, contributed to shaping the organization’s recruitment strategies, and played a critical role in enhancing trainees' career outcomes. Allison’s dedication to fostering talent development has left a lasting impact on the organization and its participants.

Outside of work, Allison is passionate about personal development, Caymanian history & culture, mental health advocacy, and staying ahead of industry trends. She also aspires to expand her impact on the local workforce with innovative and inclusive HR practices, demonstrating her commitment to creating opportunities for growth and transformation. 

Hailey Myles

Talent Development Administrator

Hailey's journey from a successful career in culinary arts and food science to impacting Inspire Cayman Training as our Talent Development Administrator is a testament to her passion for empowering others to achieve their dreams. Armed with a bachelor's degree and more than 3 years of leadership experience she plays a vital role in assisting with the management of the Inspired to Hired employment initiative. Her belief that no dream is too big, coupled with mentorship from the leaders of Inspire Cayman Training, inspires her unwavering dedication to fostering growth, confidence, and success in others.

Hailey’s achievements include impactful contributions to Cayman’s culinary field, a seamless transition into talent development, and a growing influence in career empowerment.

Outside of work, she enjoys traveling and immersing herself in creative pursuits, including DIY artistry and crafting unique baked creations that reflect her passion for self-expression and creativity. 

Dave Sutherland

TVET Instructor

Dave is a Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) instructor at Inspire Cayman Training, where he specializes in Heavy Equipment Operation. With more than eight years of experience as an instructor, Dave has dedicated his career to mentoring at-risk and vulnerable youth. His teaching approach focuses on equipping students with technical skills and the confidence to build a brighter future, making him an integral part of the organization’s mission.

Dave’s achievements include progressing from an apprentice to an Automotive Technician and career coach, showcasing his determination and commitment to growth. His expertise has been instrumental in developing advanced training techniques, ensuring students receive industry-relevant knowledge and hands-on experience. At Inspire Cayman Training, he has transformed the lives of countless individuals by combining technical education with life coaching, fostering both professional and personal development. 

Outside of teaching, Dave has a passion for motor sports, engineering, and outdoor activities such as fishing and free diving. His energetic and diverse interests, combined with his dedication to mentoring, inspire students and colleagues alike to reach their highest potential. 

Anouse Jean-Jacques

Careers & Employment Development Instructor

Anouse Jean-Jacques is an instructor at Inspire Cayman Training, where she is dedicated to helping students achieve personal and professional success. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education and a Master’s Degree in Higher Education, Anouse combines her academic expertise with her personal journey to mentor and guide first-generation and academically challenged students. Her work is driven by a deep commitment to closing achievement gaps and creating pathways to opportunity.

Anouse’s achievements include earning certifications in human resources (aPHRi, PHRi), being recognized as a National Youth Leader in the Bahamas, and working in academic affairs. She has also made significant contributions to the Upward Bound Program, where she provided academic support and motivational guidance to students preparing for college. At Inspire Cayman Training, she has embrace our ethos of developing and implementing strategies to ensure students gain the skills, confidence, and resources needed to excel in their careers. Her ability to inspire and empower others is a testament to her dedication and expertise.

Outside of work, Anouse enjoys spending time with family and friends and exploring her passion for beauty and self-expression. Her commitment to lifelong learning and personal development sets a powerful example for her students, reinforcing her belief in the transformative power of education. 

Kristina Lawrence

General Training Programme Coordinator

Kristina Lawrence is our General Training Programme Coordinator, where she leads hybrid learning initiatives and career coaching for TVET students. With more than 25 years of teaching experience across Canada, the U.S., and the Cayman Islands, Kristina specializes in curriculum design, inclusive learning, and student engagement. Her philosophy of providing “a hand up, not a handout” reflects her deep commitment to empowering individuals.

Kristina’s achievements include creating innovative curriculum designs that have transformed learning experiences for diverse student populations. Her ability to bridge technical training with career guidance has helped countless students. At Inspire Cayman Training, she continues to innovate, develop new programs, and inspire students to exceed their own expectations. Her contributions are a great addition to the mission of our organization.

Outside of her professional work, Kristina enjoys cultural travel, sunsets, and community service. A devoted mother and lifelong learner, she inspires others with her passion for growth, connection, and making a difference.  

Dr. Irene Derksen

Wellness / Life Coaching

Dr. Irene Derksen is a life coach and wellness advocate at Inspire Cayman Training, where she collaborates on programs promoting holistic development. With Doctoral and master’s degrees in Counseling, Divinity, and Psychology, Dr. Irene brings more than 30 years of experience to her role. Her dedication to mental health and wellness is an integral part of supporting our mission to helping aspiring professionals overcome barriers that prevent them from obtaining and retaining gainful employment.

Dr. Derksen’s achievements include groundbreaking work in vocational rehabilitation, suicide prevention, and program development. She has led humanitarian initiatives in Cayman, Cuba, Haiti, Puerto Rico, and Liberia, where she provided trauma support, hospice care, and community empowerment programs. At Inspire Cayman Training, she has applied her extensive expertise to create impactful wellness and life coaching programs that have transformed the lives of countless students and community members.

Outside of work, Dr. Irene practices meditation, nurtures her spiritual life, and spends quality time with her family. Her holistic approach to health and well-being serves as an inspiration, encouraging others to pursue their unique path to success.  

Chantal Rivers

Administrative Assistant

Chantal Rivers is a proud Caymanian and a dedicated member of Inspire Cayman Training, where she focuses on mentoring and community development. With an Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Chantal blends her professional skills with her passion for youth empowerment. Her decision to pursue meaningful work in community development reflects her commitment to creating lasting change.

Chantal’s achievements include leading a successful afterschool program at her Church, where she positively impacted the lives of many young people. Despite the challenges brought on by the pandemic, she emerged stronger and now plays a pivotal role at Inspire Cayman Training. Her innovative approaches to mentorship and program development have enhanced opportunities for countless individuals in the community, cementing her role as a driving force for positive change.

When she’s not mentoring or developing programs, Chantal enjoys cooking, dancing, and spending time with family and friends. Her passion for Caymanian culture and her dedication to helping others make her an invaluable asset to Inspire Cayman Training.
